Choral Festival in Eisenstadt "Let your song of praise resound, rejoice in the Lord, the mighty God," the heavenly hosts proclaim in "The Creation," "Hooray, let us be joyful and hurrah, hurrah, hurrah, shout with all our might," the wine-drunk rural folk exclaim in the "Seasons": In Joseph Haydn's works, singing is a joyfully fulfilled commandment – and thus, for the first time, a large choral festival will unite hundreds of voices in and around the Esterhazy Palace in a workshop and various concerts. The audience will be delighted in many styles and according to diverse tastes with the most immediate, physical form of music-making that has existed since time immemorial: singing.
