Hiking in and around Lopau

Experience this special place in the Lüneburg Heath. Lopau was once a completely normal small heath village, but it was abandoned during the expansion of the Munster-Nord military training area. However, there is still a lot to see: the old forestry watchhouse, the old school, Hof Roth, and of course, there are plenty of traces of Richard Toepffer, who researched the steam plow here. The nature around Lopau is also uniquely beautiful; hiking trails above the Lopau in the forest make the hearts of hiking enthusiasts soar. If interested, a short detour to the "Froschmaul" can also be made... Sturdy shoes and weather-appropriate clothing are recommended, the route is approximately 6.5 km long, and there are no places to stop for refreshments along the way! Please register with Munster Touristik at info@munster-touristik.de or call 05192 89980 by the day before the hike. Minimum number of participants: 2 people, maximum 20 people. The costs are €12.00 for adults, €6.00 for children, and other dates can be booked upon request!
