From the Neßmersiel harbor, we set off together with a biologist from the National Park House through the salt marshes and into the mudflats. A little under 7 km takes us through all facets of the Wadden Sea - from the smallest inhabitants of the mudflats, we get a glimpse of the entire ecosystem, always keeping the island of Baltrum in sight, even crossing one or two channels. On the island, you can wash your feet and change your shoes to wind down the day at the North Sea beach. Then, you can take a ferry of your choice back to the mainland - of course, passing directly by the seal banks to complete your North Sea day.
