Fantasy animated epic with furious battle sequences and a casually delivered ecological message. The fighter Ashitaka, who is fatally infected by a demon, falls in love with Princess Mononoke, who was raised by wolves. He finds himself caught in the crossfire between the residents of an industrial settlement led by the self-assured Eboshi and the forces of nature, embodied by three giant wolves, the god of the wild, his forest spirits, and a horde of monkeys.
