Opera Wagon # The Creation of Adam and Eve

"Adam & Eve's Creation" is a Swabian chamber opera that tells the story of creation with a great deal of humor and enthusiasm: from paradise to expulsion – but not in a reverent and heavy-handed way, but rather comically, realistically, and wonderfully Swabian. Everyday worries, role models, and the urge for freedom and self-determination flash up so pointedly that you realize: It may be from the 18th century, but it feels surprisingly relevant today. Musically, the audience is transported back to classical Swabia with historical instruments and a sound that is delicate, surprising, and full of atmosphere. The result is a production that doesn't bring opera "into the house" but takes it to where people come together: to several locations, outdoors, in the midst of life. In the end, one thing above all else applies: admission is free – on a donation basis. So that everyone is invited to venture into opera. About the project: The production is being created with the Ensemble Société Lunaire in a staging by Martin Butler, implemented by Alte Musik am Bodensee e.V. in cooperation with Kulturzentrale Süd – Knapp Striegel Hutter GmbH.
