The artist Inge Rau, who hails from Reutlingen, loves to experiment. She works with chemical processes and materials to create abstract, often "decayed" structures that make time and transience visible. Inge Rau is one of those contemporary artists who consciously navigate the boundary between control and chance. At the center of her work is not the classical painting with color, but an experimental approach to materials such as acid, metal, rust, and patina. This results in a fascinating "painting with time," which can be seen in the gallery of the Kreismuseum in St. Blasien. The works are also available for purchase.
