Genna & Jesse are characterized by a unique alchemy that arises from their special chemistry, complex vocal harmonies, and passionate storytelling, shaping their songs and captivating live performances. With hints (sometimes powerful) of folk, blue-eyed soul, jazz, blues, chanson, and pop music from the 60s and 70s, the genre "American Roots" does not nearly capture what they create in their joyful live shows and sensual, thoughtful albums. The duo disregards the conventions of the music industry and simply does what feels good. This genre-crossing dedication to relevance and freedom has an exciting and irresistible effect. The couple hails from Michigan and Philadelphia and gained initial experience in music metropolises like San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York City, Detroit, and Chicago. After forming the duo, they spent the first decade of their career as nomads, touring the world with their music. Following the birth of their child, they purchased a country house in Southern Italy, where they live when not on tour. Inspired by their romantic lifestyle, Genna & Jesse can best be described as modern troubadours who generously offer their listeners glimpses into their ever-dynamic world while creating something fresh, authentic, and truly independent. Currently, Genna & Jesse are touring internationally (with their little child!) to promote their new project "Un-Covered."
