The focus of the exhibition at the Linz Castle Museum is on his painterly and graphic work from the last decade. Brehm's painting is characterized by a distinctive visual language, often consisting of few, concise marks that he places on the canvas. Despite recognizable forms and reduced compositions, his visual creations are never easy to decipher. Rather, they represent an enigmatic play of signs and apparent codes that characterize his visual world. A dedicated space in the exhibition will also be devoted to Brehm's experimental film work, which has been recognized internationally for decades.
