In this spirit, a spectacular orchestral fireworks display opens this guest performance, namely the captivating work "Festive Pulse" by Benjamin Yusupov. The cited maxim also applies to the other two works of the evening: to Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's famous B-flat minor piano concerto, featuring the fantastic Alexander Malofeev, born in 2001, as the soloist, and also to the immortal "Pathétique": The Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra and Julian Rachlin at the conductor's podium guarantee that the symphony, concerto, and opening piece will all unfold a crescendo of musical energy leading up to their respective finales.
