Bad Schussenried Horse and Merchant Market with Christmas Village

The unique combination of horse trading and a market fair was established over 40 years ago and is now known far beyond the country's borders. The market opens with the "Parade of Horses" on Friday, November 27, after which the horses for sale will be presented throughout the day. Renowned horse dealers from all over Germany offer their best horses for sale, attracting large crowds to Bad Schussenried every year. Children can look forward to a visit from St. Nicholas on Friday evening in the courtyard of the Schussenried Brewery, musically accompanied by the Bad Schussenried town band. Adults can enjoy a delicious mulled wine at the booth of the local customs preservation association, with proceeds going to a good cause. All earnings benefit the Magnus, local, and children's festival and provide significant financial support for our event. Afterwards, it is well-known that festivities continue in the local gastronomy. But it's not just horse enthusiasts who benefit from this major event: the market fair offers not only traditional goods like short and leather products but also sweet and savory treats, toys, and handmade items. Shopping can be done on Friday evening at the market fair as well as at various local retailers, who entice customers with great promotions and offers. The lovingly decorated sales booths of the Schussenried clubs and schools around the Christmas tree in the marketplace create a pre-Christmas atmosphere.
