Bad Schussenried Horse and General Store Market with Christmas Village

The unique combination of horse trading and general market was launched over 40 years ago and is now known far beyond the state borders. The market opens with the "horse drive" on Friday, November 27, after which the horses for sale will be presented throughout the day. Renowned horse dealers from all over Germany offer their best horses for sale, attracting crowds of visitors to Bad Schussenried every year. Children can once again look forward to a visit from St. Nicholas on Friday evening in the courtyard of the Schussenried brewery. Musical accompaniment will be provided by the Bad Schussenried town band. Adults can enjoy a delicious mulled wine next door at the Brauchtumspflege association's stand, and for a good cause. All proceeds go to the Magnus, Heimat, and Kinderfest festivals and are a great financial support for our festival. Afterwards, as is well known, there will be lively celebrations in the local restaurants. But it's not just horse fans who get their money's worth at this major event: in addition to the traditional assortment of goods, such as haberdashery and leather goods, the Krämermarkt also offers sweet and savory treats, toys, and handmade items. Shopping can be done on Friday evening at the Krämermarkt, as well as at various local retailers, who attract customers with great promotions and offers. The lovingly decorated sales huts of the Schussenried clubs and schools on the market square around the Christmas tree provide a pre-Christmas atmosphere.
