Even today, we feel a great longing when we hear them: shanties - a time of great tall ships, adventure, solitude, melancholy, and happiness. The Juist Shanty Choir takes you into the world of sailors and their deep emotions. Sail away with them far, far from everyday life. The Juist Shanty Choir was founded in 1982. The choir consists of 11 singers and an accordion player. Planned performances of the shanty choir on Juist: The following dates are scheduled for 2026: May 7, May 27, July 2, August 6, August 27, September 24. The performances start at 8:00 PM. Please note: The shanty choir performances take place at the Kurplatz. Due to weather conditions, there may be cancellations or rescheduling. We ask for your understanding!
