Discover the unique wildlife of the Wadden Sea at the South Beach during an excursion on the seabed. With nets, digging forks, and magnifying glasses, the mudflat is explored with all senses. When the water reveals the seabed, many mudflat inhabitants come to light, and each of them has an exciting story to tell. Get to know five of these fascinating animals, such as the mudworm, the heart clam, the beach crab, the mud snail, and the North Sea shrimp, known as the "Small Five." Of course, knowledgeable staff from the Wadden Sea Visitor Center will accompany you during the approximately 1.5-hour safari, sharing amazing facts about the mudflat inhabitants. A great experience for the whole family! Unfortunately, strollers, walkers, etc., cannot be taken to the South Beach. A mudflat mobility vehicle for wheelchair users is available. Please indicate this in your registration if needed. Dogs are not allowed. After the event, it is possible to clean boots or shoes at the boot wash station of the Wadden Sea Visitor Center.
