From Speakers and Quiet Achievers – How Does Political Communication Work Today? Many people today view "politics" critically. Common points of criticism include that politicians do not clearly express what they mean, argue with each other too often, and make promises they cannot keep. These three points of criticism share a common theme: they relate to political communication. We will take this as the starting point for the next Juist Salon discussion, where we want to look behind the facade of political communication. In a brief keynote speech, we will present the communication interests and strategies of politicians. We will get to know both actors who loudly achieve their goals and those who quietly reach theirs. Afterwards, we will discuss how you perceive political communication, what you like about it, and what you believe constitutes successful political communication. We do not have to agree, as the purpose of the salon discussion is to exchange views on important questions of our present.
