Family Day at the Dinosaur Tracks

Around 150 million years ago, a herd of small long-necked dinosaurs wandered along the beach of a tropical island. 105 years ago, a geologist first described the footprints of these animals in a quarry. And for the past 25 years, TERRA.vita has been protecting this geological heritage as a geopark and continues to tell the (Earth) history that the fossils and rocks have left us. In line with the geopark's anniversary, we invite you to experience and share Earth history! Young dinosaur researchers can craft at various play stations set up by TERRA.vita and the experiential educational school camp Barkhausen, and showcase their dinosaur knowledge in the dinosaur rally. TERRA.guide Astrid will lead all dinosaur footprint fans through the quarry, and the beautification association will again provide warm meals at lunchtime, along with cakes and drinks.

Notes: The approximately 45-minute guided tours start at 1:00 PM, 2:30 PM, and 4:00 PM. The meeting point is the hiking parking lot.
