Ice Age Hike at the Freienwalder Canyon

The route is always slightly downhill, making it easy to walk. To make the tour a circular route, we start by taking the bus from the Schlosspark bus stop (11:10 AM) and travel 8 kilometers to Wollenberg (bus ticket 3.20 euros). Here we begin the 13 km hike (Oderlandweg) and first pass the baroque church and the Angerhütte. The hike continues to the Hubertushütte, which is already located in the forest, and the Lisbeth Lenz Hütte. In Rädikow (lunch break with packed meals), we turn into the picturesque Brunnental. Passing by six romantic moors and diverse forest growth, we pass the Lärchenhütte, the Brunnentalhütte, and the Stadtwaldhütte. The landscape resembles that of a low mountain range. Just before the specialist clinic Moorbad, we take a break before reaching the Schlossparkambulanz again via the Kurpromenade and Terrainweg.
