Come In! Gallery showcases art by Valentina Pilz.

On February 20, the Come In! Gallery in the Impulsquartier in Waidhofen an der Ybbs will open its doors once again. From February 20 to March 15, works by Valentina Pilz will be displayed under the title SUPPER. She is one of three artists selected by a professional jury to create a solo exhibition in Waidhofen in the first half of 2026.

Valentina Cäcilia Pilz was born in 2004 in Waidhofen an der Ybbs and currently lives in Vienna. She is studying art education at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna as well as mathematics for teaching.

The artist is very familiar with Waidhofen due to her childhood and youth. This personal connection to the region creates a close bond with the artistic and cultural environment of the Come In! Gallery. Valentina Pilz appreciates the opportunity to present her work here outside of the university context: "This exhibition space opens up unconventional perspectives, demands new decisions, and allows me to think about my works in a new, experimental direction."

In her artistic practice, Valentina Pilz primarily works with digital media. She addresses social-critical questions and their interpretations through photography, video, 3D animation/illustration, and painting. Currently, the representation of emotions and social circumstances is the focus of her works. In her upcoming exhibition SUPPER, Valentina Pilz engages with the social media trend "Girl Dinner" and questions contemporary images of femininity and food culture through photography, painting, and digital works.

The opening of Valentina Pilz's exhibition will take place on February 20 at 5 PM in the Come In! Gallery. On the same day, the Stadtgalerie Waidhofen/Ybbs will open the exhibition The Seamless Switch by Carlo Zappella.
