Annual Concert "Through Time & Sound" Works Band Laufen

GMUNDEN. Under the motto "Through Time & Sound," the Werkskapelle Laufen Gmunden-Engelhof invites you to a musical journey as part of the traditional annual concert on Saturday, February 21, 2026. The concert evening will be opened at the Stadttheater Gmunden at 7:43 PM by the club's own youth orchestra, the Laufenten-Jugendorchester, conducted by Michaela Gassenbauer. The young musicians will showcase the vibrant youth work of the Werkskapelle in the Laufenten Youth Club.

In the main program, conductor Manuel Ecklbauer will take the audience on a musical journey through epochs, styles, and sound worlds. The selection ranges from the powerful "Generations Fanfare" (Otto M. Schwarz) to the atmospheric "Postcards from Tomorrow" (Gauthier Dupertuis) and jazzy time portraits like "Dave Brubeck – A Portrait in Time" (Arr. Robert W. Smith).

With film music classics such as "Back to the Future" (Arr. Marcel Sauer) and "Doctor Who: Through Time and Space" (Arr. Robert Buckley), the Werkskapelle continues the concert motto consistently. The world-famous "Baba Yetu" (Christopher Tin) and the energetic "Eighties Flashback" (Arr. Paul Murtha) round off the program and promise a varied concert evening full of nostalgia, emotion, and musical precision.

As usual, the evening will be hosted by chairman Mathias Schrabacher. Doors open at 7:00 PM.
