Honey in the Head tells the touching yet comical story of Amandus, a loving but increasingly forgetful grandfather, and his brave granddaughter Tilda. As the family grapples with the challenges of Amandus's forgetfulness – including decapitated hedges, charred shoes, and accidentally ignited fireworks – Tilda comes up with a wonderful plan: she kidnaps her grandpa to Venice, where his great love story once began. Amid quirky everyday moments, lots of heart, and a healthy dose of chaos, the play shows that while memories may fade, true love remains. Amandus and Tilda embark on a tragicomic journey and learn all about forgetting, remembering, and the courage to face reality with a smile.

The film that inspired the play, released in 2014 and starring Dieter Hallervorden, reached an audience of 19 million and is considered one of the most successful German film comedies in recent years.
