"What really happened here?" It all starts quite harmlessly and optimistically: Psychotherapist Dr. Silke Hufenreuther can discharge five of her patients with a violent past as cured after successful therapy. There is already an excellent plan for successful reintegration: the five will simply switch to the hospitality industry. A self-help group for violent murderers opens a bed and breakfast – hey, what could possibly go wrong?

But on the day of the opening, the newly organized reality quickly spirals out of control: the psychologist and her husband are the first guests, a stern inspector scrutinizes the operation, and suddenly there’s a corpse in the lobby. Who did it? Everyone has motive and opportunity for murder, but no one wants to admit it. Amidst obsessive cleaning, chakra massages, and vegan cheesecake, the situation escalates into a delightfully absurd crime comedy. A quirky cocktail of dark humor, eccentric characters, and surprising twists – murderously funny! The text by the German author collective "Die Acht," led by the internationally successful crime writer Tatjana Kruse, playfully engages with the crime genre to find out: What really happened here?
