Most recently, GIORGIO CONTE was a guest at the Salzhof Freistadt in 2015 – a decade later, the singer-songwriter is back on tour! Giorgio Conte, born in 1941 in Asti, northern Italy, is a singer-songwriter, musician, and lawyer – and the younger brother of the famous Paolo Conte. Although he started in the shadow of his brother, he quickly developed his own style, making him an independent figure in the Italian music scene. Initially, he wrote songs for artists like Mina, Ornella Vanoni, and Adriano Celentano before starting a solo career as a singer-songwriter in the 1990s. With subtle humor and poetic depth, he captures everyday experiences and cultural peculiarities in his lyrics.

Giorgio Conte's music combines elements of chanson, swing, and folk with a touch of jazz. His songs radiate a warm, intimate atmosphere. His style remains accessible and charming, characterized by melodic lightness and lovingly ironic lyrics. Conte tells stories from life, full of nostalgia, joy of living, and a hint of melancholy – always seasoned with a wink.
