The idyllic monastery garden of Maria Schmolln, in collaboration with Mamsell Grün, invites you once again to the popular plant market – on Sunday, April 26, 2026, from 10 AM to 5 PM, with free admission and in a relaxed atmosphere. Under the motto "Small but fine," visitors can expect a lovingly curated selection of garden delights and special occasions – sustainable, regional, and of the highest quality. Whether flowers for the garden and balcony, fresh cut flowers, or creative Mother's Day ideas – everyone will find something here. A special highlight: organic young plants and aromatic herbs from the organic gardening farm Euphrasia, fragrant roses, shrubs, and fruit trees. The offering is complemented by decorative items. In addition to sales, the plant market offers a wealth of knowledge and exchange. Information about the world of bees can be found at the bee hut of the Schmolln beekeepers. Those who want to delve deeper into the world of gardening should not miss these program highlights:

10 AM: Free garden tour of the monastery garden with certified herbal educator Sonja Berer on the topic “Wild Herbs for the Kitchen.” During a garden round, you will learn how to easily utilize the power and ingredients of wild herbs for your daily menu without much effort.

2 PM: Free herb lecture with valuable tips from the medicinal herb bed by certified herbal educator Anna Schreiner.

The little visitors are also well catered for – in the children's corner, they can paint wooden flowers to their heart's content and let their creativity blossom. The team of the monastery garden will provide suitable refreshments with homemade delicacies. And the best part: All proceeds go towards the care and maintenance of the garden, ensuring that this special place continues to thrive and bloom in the future.
