The themed tour "In the Footsteps of the Cistercians" answers these questions. On a walk through the former monastery grounds, discover a cultural landscape whose origins date back to the monks’ settlement in the 12th century.
Even today, the fields, vineyards, farmsteads, and waterways in the surrounding area bear witness to the work of the Bronnbach monks.
Along the roughly three-kilometer-long loop trail, you’ll encounter genuine remnants of monastic activity: an old bridge over the Fischergraben, the former monastery farmstead (Schafhof), an artificial dam, the diverted monastery stream, and the mill canal in the valley.
