Circular hike: In the footsteps of the Cistercians

Guided circular hike with Kurt Lindner. Who were the Cistercians and where did the "Grey Monks" come from, who settled here and made the wilderness cultivable? These questions are addressed in the themed tour "In the Footsteps of the Cistercians." Discover, during a walk through the former monastery estate, a cultural landscape whose origins date back to the settlement of the monks in the 12th century. Even today, fields, vineyards, farmsteads, and watercourses in the surrounding area bear witness to the work of the Bronnbach monks. Along the approximately three-kilometer circular path, you will encounter true witnesses of monastic activity: an old bridge at Fischergraben, the former monastery estate (Schafhof), an artificial dam, the diverted monastery stream, and the mill channel in the valley.
