Neapolitan Concert Serenade

The Corale Polifonica Metelliana, conducted by Pompilia Balzano, was founded in 1988 in Cava de’ Tirreni (Province of Salerno) and consists of 25 choir singers. It has a wide repertoire featuring pieces from medieval, classical, folk, and contemporary music. The choir participates in numerous concerts, festivals, and operas, as well as international choir competitions, most recently achieving success in Hochpustertal (South Tyrol). In 2024, it performed the Mass in the Upper Church of Assisi. The Accento Chamber Orchestra is led by violinist Lore Schrettner from the concertmaster's podium and serves as the classical cultural ambassador for the city of Knittelfeld. In addition to numerous concerts in churches and concert halls in the region, there are large choir-orchestra projects (oratorios, operas, operettas, symphonies) each year, where renowned guest conductors, choirs, and soloists are invited. Concert tours have also taken the orchestra to neighboring countries.
