Jan Langer lives and works as a freelance artist and musician in Grissian/South Tyrol. He has been intensively engaged in land art since 2014, with a particular focus on so-called "ephemeral land art." Since 2018, he has participated in solo and group exhibitions both domestically and internationally (Italy, Austria, Germany), and has won various art competitions, including the Hubert v. Goisern Culture Prize in 2019. He has completed commissioned works for land art parks, including RespirArt, Ledro Landart, Sentiero dell'arte (Brescia), and Kunstwiese Tennenlohe (Germany). Since 2023, he has been a member of the South Tyrolean Artists' Association.
