Many bats live at Piesberg and hibernate in the Hasestollen of the Museum of Industrial Culture Osnabrück (MIK), where they can be observed during the winter months. In the bat cellar opened in 2020 at the MIK, visitors can learn everything about the hidden life of bats and why Piesberg is an important location for bat conservation. The interactive exhibition features numerous specimens and exhibits, rare film sequences, and a children's trail, turning both young and old into bat experts. Please bring: warm clothing, sturdy shoes, flashlight.
