Opening of the Nest Box Educational Trail at the Nature Park Center - Discovery Tour through the World of Forest Birds and Cavity Nesters

To celebrate the official opening of the new nesting box educational trail at the Nature Park Center, we warmly invite you to a family tour with NABU bird expert Stefan Bosch. He will provide exciting insights into the world of forest birds and cavity-nesters along the trail. Which birds live in the forest, and who breeds in tree cavities and nesting boxes? We invite you and your family to join us on an exploratory journey through the world of forest birds and cavity-nesters – on the occasion of the official opening of our new nesting box educational trail at the Nature Park Center. NABU's bird specialist, Stefan Bosch, will guide us along the trail. The tour is particularly aimed at families and encourages questions, wonder, and participation. We will be accompanied by Bella the Blue Tit, who, as the trail's mascot, will share stories from her life and take both young and old on an exciting journey. Together, we will take a look inside Bella's favorite nesting box and discover various nesting materials that birds choose for building their nests. Along the way, we will get to know different types of habitats – from classic tit boxes to specialized nesting boxes – and even peek into a natural breeding site, a cavity carved out by a woodpecker. Additionally, we will learn practically how to properly handle a nesting box: from installation to maintenance and cleaning. At the opening, Mayor Danner will address the guests in her dual role as the mayor of Zaberfeld and chair of the nature park. We also look forward to the presence of numerous supporters who made this project possible. Join us on a journey of discovery and get to know our forest birds!
