On the Sunday before Carnival, the big "Schnurren" takes place in almost all the pubs in Haslach. This year, due to the federal elections, the "Schnurren" will be held on Saturday instead. In Haslach, the "Schnurren" is one of the oldest Carnival traditions and is rooted in the Carnival right of Rügerecht. Up to ten "Schnurr" groups will parade through the local establishments starting at 5:00 PM, sharing funny and quirky stories and incidents that have happened to the citizens of Haslach over the past year in their "Schnurr" program.
