Beech Festival

The city of Ellrich and the municipality of Walkenried invite you to the traditional Red Beech Festival on October 3, 2026 – and this will be the 36th time! From 10 AM to 6 PM, the country road between the two municipalities will once again transform into a colorful promenade with beverage, grill, and sales stands, as well as music, in celebration of German Unity Day. Colorful market activities & music with DJ Lutz from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM 11:00 AM Devotion 11:30 AM Speech by the district administrator and the mayors 1:00 PM Ellrich singers from the EKV
