A Panicky-Theological Tribute to Udo Lindenberg's 80th Birthday
In many of his songs, the "Panic-Rocker" Udo Lindenberg – who turns 80 on May 17! – references religious themes. He holds "great respect" for Jesus; in one song, he even conducts an "interview with God." And one thing is clear to him: "Beyond the horizon, it goes on!" The bestselling author and theologian Uwe Birnstein has spoken with Lindenberg multiple times about God and the world. In his program, he embarks on a search for spiritual traces in Udo Lindenberg's life, songs, and images, such as those related to the Ten Commandments. Accompanied by the duo "Stine & Stone" (Kerstin Birnstein, vocals), he performs many songs live, creating a panicky-theological journey through faith and the Germany of the last 50 years.
