Study of Time - Solo Exhibition by Kristine Narvida at Nikolaisaal Potsdam

The artist Kristine Narvida is showcasing her new oil series "Study of Time" in the foyer and ticket gallery of the Nikolaisaal. Fine glazes, a reduced color palette, and figurative abstraction characterize her works, which explore inner states – memory, tension, the fleeting nature of a moment. Born in Latvia and having lived in Potsdam for many years, she combines personal sensitivity with a quiet, universal visual language in her painting. "Time is not what we measure, but what permeates us... The canvas becomes a place where time becomes visible... Each work is both a standstill and an acceleration." Kristine Narvida will also participate in the performance at Nikolaisaal on March 5, 2026 – a collaborative art and music moment with five female artists and the Max Doehlemann Quintet, inspired by Holst's "Planets."
