"From Listening and Noise – Course Book Oder-Spree" Reading & Conversation

How does the district sound? The current "Kursbuch Oder-Spree" deals with the world of sounds and noises on a regional level – ranging from classical music and pop to organ building and hunting horn blowing, as well as deafness and the tranquility of the forest. Sixteen stories have been created, three of which we will present at a reading and discussion in Sieversdorf. Attendees will learn why the Scheffler organ workshop is in demand not only in Germany but also internationally, how Ekkehard Krüger came to establish a publishing house for early music in Beeskow, and what drives the members of the Erkner women's choir to sing together. In addition to the authors, the respective protagonists will also be present at the reading and discussion in the Sieversdorf church – and will provide some sound examples. Afterward, there will be an opportunity to visit the Scheffler organ workshop. Admission is free.
