RangerTour: Colorful Leaves and Builder Beaver

With the rangers through one of the most beautiful autumn forests in the region: As summer comes to an end and the deciduous trees color their leaves for autumn, the Choriner Forest reveals its most spectacular side. It is no coincidence that it has been awarded "Forest Area of the Year 2023." In addition to the colorful trees, there are numerous beautiful views of the nature in the oldest nature reserve in Northern Germany: the Plagefenn. With the change of seasons, not only do the colors of the leaves change, but the animals also prepare for the cold season. Together, we will explore what squirrels do in winter, why beavers are such great builders, and where the fallen leaves disappear in summer. This tour is part of the "Ranger and Experience Tours" program. Notes: Please register by email by October 21, 2026. The tour is limited to 15 participants and is not wheelchair accessible. We recommend weatherproof clothing and comfortable footwear for approximately 5 km.
