Delicate, colorful, and seemingly weightless – the tropical butterflies of the Biosphere Potsdam are among the silent stars of the nature experience world. Even though they are not actively fed, there is much to discover during the daily care: a nectar mixture is prepared and distributed on feeding tables and fruits. Here, you can learn what exactly is in the butterfly cocktail, why some species don’t drink at all, and how short – or surprisingly long – a butterfly's life can be.
