Upon arriving at the Great Barge Ferry Port of Lübbenau, the port where Theodor Fontane set off on a barge ride "to sea" more than 150 years ago, the ferryman awaits his guests for a tour through the Spreewald, which is in winter slumber. The visibility is significantly better than in summer, as the typical deciduous forest has shed its leaves. Deep insights are only possible in winter.
