Brass Band Oberschwaben-Allgäu - feat. Zoltán Kiss (Trombone)

An ensemble of ambitious brass players, which has developed into a prominent presence in the German brass scene since its founding in 1992, meets the trumpeter of the legendary formation Mnozil Brass. Zoltán Kiss was born in 1980 in Budapest (Hungary) and largely developed his technique autodidactically, inspired by leading trumpeters. He attended the Chopin Music University in Warsaw and won a number of national competitions, both as a soloist and with chamber music ensembles. In 2005, Zoltán was invited to audition for the Austrian brass septet Mnozil Brass, with whom he now performs in over 100 concerts worldwide each year. Founded in 1992, the Brass Band Oberschwaben-Allgäu (BBOA) is one of the first brass bands to have emerged in Germany and one of the few brass bands in the country modeled after the British style in terms of instrumentation and original literature composed for it. Over thirty years later, the 30-member band has established itself as a key player in the southern German brass scene and has won numerous awards (including European Champion, multiple German Vice Champion, and winner of the Brass Band competition at the German Music Festival). Over the years, the BBOA has established connections with almost all European brass band nations. The diverse influences of the individual members, who come from symphonic wind orchestras, big bands, symphony orchestras, brass or jazz ensembles, contribute to making the BBOA a professional ensemble with a distinctive character.
