Stair Adventure Tour (Beginner)

On this exciting adventure tour for beginners, you will explore the Elbe Sandstone Mountains along adventurous paths at dizzying heights. Of course, everything is secured. The highlight of the tour is the so-called Häntzschelstiege - the only real via ferrata in Saxon Switzerland. Additionally, you will learn many interesting things about the nature, culture, and history of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains!

- Exciting stair tour for beginners including secured via ferrata climbing with equipment
- Moderate day tour with a length of about 10 km

Services included:
- Guided tour with an experienced guide including via ferrata set (harness + safety equipment)
- Information about the region, nature, and history

Requirements for participants:
- Normal fitness level, sure-footedness & freedom from vertigo required
- Suitable for sure-footed & vertigo-free children from 10 years old
- Hiking experience: over 10 kilometers in length
- Climbing experience: moderate climbs

Important notes:
- NO refreshment opportunities along the route (self-catering)
- Sturdy hiking clothing is advantageous (long pants, rock contact)
- We require solid, profiled footwear
- We recommend that each participant bring a backpack for the via ferrata equipment

- When?: In the season from April to early November every Thursday and Saturday or Sunday (weekly rotation) – around 9:45 AM
- Route: approx. 10 kilometers with 600 meters of elevation gain
- Maximum 8 participants (from 10 years old)
- Duration: approx. 6-7 hours

Participation fee:
- Single ticket: 78 EUR per person
- Partner ticket: 73 EUR per person (2 people)
- Family ticket: 68 EUR per person (3-4 people)
- Group ticket: 63 EUR per person (5-6 people)

Registration deadline: the day before by 6 PM
Cancellation policy:
- Generally free cancellation possible up to 9 days before the tour starts
- 30% compensation retained from 9 to 3 days before the tour
- No cancellation possible within 72 hours before the tour starts
- Exceptions: certified illness

Final notes:
The organizer reserves the right to exclude participants on the day of the tour due to insufficient equipment or suitability for the tour. The organizer also reserves the right to cancel the tour due to bad weather. In both cases, the participation fee will be refunded. Refunds for additional costs incurred by the participant for travel, accommodation, equipment, etc., are excluded, provided these services were not also arranged by the organizer for the participant. The organizer has a special liability insurance for damages caused by participants. Nevertheless, participation in the advertised tours is fundamentally at one's own risk, which is why every participant should have comprehensive private accident insurance.
