What happens when a small community stands up against a global corporation? This documentary tells the impressive story of a Brandenburg village that resists the construction of a massive biomethane gas plant. With a citizens' initiative, a political alliance, and a lot of commitment, the residents of Karstädt manage to gain democratic majorities – and persuade the global corporation Shell to withdraw. An inspiring film about lived democracy, solidarity, and the courage to get involved.

Brandenburg is home to 58 wolf packs – a success for species conservation. At the same time, the number of livestock killed is rising, exacerbating conflicts between agriculture and nature conservation, especially in Uckermark. The film follows shepherd Jens Kath, who seeks solutions in his teaching sheep farm: conversations with scientists and conservationists, participation in the wolf forum, and daily life on the farm illustrate how complex the coexistence of wolf protection and livestock farming is. There are no simple answers, but under certain conditions, the possibility of coexistence exists.

Film screening followed by a discussion with director Jean Boué and other guests. Moderation: Katrin Springer, head of the Ökofilmtour.
