The Alpine river Inn has always been characterized by constant changes. It is a dynamic system of a constantly reshaping watercourse with gravel and sandbanks. During our excursion, we will learn interesting facts about its development from a wild river to a regulated river for energy production. We will hear about plants that came to the lower Inn as so-called Alpine driftwood, about flood events that shaped the former river landscape and the earlier shipping routes.
