Plant dyeing was one of the oldest medieval guilds. When chemical dyes became prevalent in the early 20th century, this diverse and fascinating old craft - like many others unfortunately - fell into oblivion. Christiane wants to walk with you in the footsteps of medieval dyers, give you an insight into the history of dyeing, and introduce you to important plants - from goldenrod to burdock to construction wood.

Christiane knows the old recipes and will create vibrant dye baths with you, providing an overview of various dyeing techniques. Everything completely free of harmful substances. In addition to wool and fabric samples, we will also produce watercolor paints and inks. A colorful weekend in the name of colors from nature!
