The high-quality juniper heath above the Eyach Valley is apparently also a suitable location for rare plants. At an average altitude of around 840 meters, the protected area covers approximately 13 hectares. Benefiting from the warm climate of recent years, numerous orchids have gathered here. **Equipment:** Good, sturdy winter shoes or high hiking boots are required.
If possible, bring your own poles. Nordic walking poles, ski poles (alpine skiing) or hiking poles are suitable, preferably with adjustable length. Cross-country skiing poles are less suitable as they are generally too long. **Duration:** 3-4 hours
