Head out to the vineyard! Become a Remstal winemaker for a year, get actively involved, and experience viticulture up close throughout the entire growing season, even if you have no prior knowledge. ### Remstal Winemaker – Experience a year in the vineyard Have you always wanted to know what winemakers actually do all year round? Then get out of your everyday routine and into the vineyard! In cooperation with **VHS Unteres Remstal**, we invite you to experience an entire wine year up close – hands-on, outdoors, and in the heart of the Remstal valley. The annual course **"Remstal WinzerIn"** accompanies the vine throughout the entire growing season. **On 8 practical days**, participants get hands-on experience and learn step by step what it takes to turn a vine into good grapes – and good wine. Theory is taught where it belongs: right in the vineyard. There is also an 'introductory day' and a 'final day' with a winegrower's snack and 'winegrower's diploma'. From pruning and foliage work to the grape harvest, you will gain exciting insights into: - the annual cycle in viticulture - working with vines through the changing seasons - the influence of weather, soil, and location - sustainable and natural viticulture - the special features of Remstal wine culture The course is aimed at all wine enthusiasts, curious minds, and connoisseurs who want to **actively participate** and not just drink wine, but really understand it. **No prior knowledge is necessary** – but a love of exercise, nature, and teamwork is all the more important. By the end of the year, you will not only know how wine is made, but you will have experienced a real wine year. Of course, enjoyment is not neglected either. Please note: The dates are subject to weather and vegetation conditions. Any changes will be communicated as soon as possible. Alcohol and driving do not mix. We recommend using public transportation or arranging for a ride. Participants must be 18 years of age or older.
