Navid Djawadi's - Just in Time

The band led by the Austro-Iranian double bassist Navid Djawadi focuses on rhythmically sophisticated swing in the style of Ray Brown, Oscar Peterson, or Christian McBride. The arrangements are engaging and highlight not only the improvisational finesse of Urs Hager but also the soloistic expression of the double bass and drums. Their first album, "Give It To Me Straight," is set to be released in time for the 100th birthday of the legendary jazz bassist Ray Brown in 2026. In honor of this musician, who is indispensable in jazz history, "Just In Time" will perform music from his jazz suite "The Ray Brown Suite," alongside their own compositions and arrangements.
