Who can read aloud the best in the Cuxhaven district? On Friday, February 13, 2026, at 4:00 PM, the eight winners of the school competitions will compete in the regional finals at the Otterndorf city library. The reading competition organized by the German book trade, which has been taking place since 1959, is one of the largest student competitions in Germany and is under the patronage of the Federal President. The aim is to promote enthusiasm for books in the public sphere and to strengthen children's reading skills.
