Giant Rooks' debut album "ROOKERY" was celebrated worldwide and their monthly listener numbers on Spotify are in the millions. This was followed by sold-out tours around the world. Giant Rooks was founded in 2014. Since then, a lot has happened for the band consisting of singer Frederik Rabe, guitarist Finn Schwieters, bassist Luca Göttner, keyboardist Jonathan Wischniowski, and drummer Finn Thomas—and that's a charming understatement. Their debut album "ROOKERY" was celebrated worldwide, and their monthly listener numbers on Spotify are in the millions. This was followed by sold-out tours around the world. With their latest album "How Have You Been," released in 2024, which went straight to number 1 on the German charts, Giant Rooks have impressively proven that their sound has long been internationally relevant. After the subsequent successful tour of the same name, the five retreated into creative work in 2025. In September, the band played two exclusive headline shows in Germany: their completely sold-out homecoming concerts in their hometown of Hamm. There, Giant Rooks danced between melancholy and euphoria with a total of 20,000 fans, friends, and family. Once again, they demonstrated incredible energy—which now extends from the small town in Westphalia to the entire globe. On October 31, Giant Rooks returned with their new single "The Future Is Cancelled" – a song that impressively demonstrates how multifaceted the band has remained after more than a decade of band history. The song shows the band from a quieter, more reflective side and moves between melancholy and new beginnings. The band proves once again that it knows how to combine big themes with emotional depth and artistic precision. The result is a song that is both thought-provoking and comforting, while also showing that Giant Rooks continues to boldly break new ground without forgetting its roots. Now Fred, Jonathan, Luca, and the two Finns want to feel the tour atmosphere again and will return to the stage in the summer of 2026.
