Mastering Parent-Teacher Conversations with Confidence – with Heart, Attitude, and Helpful Tools
Whether in daycare or school, parent-teacher conversations are part of everyday educational life. Yet, they can become a real challenge: misunderstandings, emotionally charged situations, or even conflicts not only bring stress but also drain energy and time. Many educational professionals feel left alone in such moments. In this practical communication training, you will learn how to conduct even difficult conversations clearly, calmly, and appreciatively – with structure, attitude, and helpful conversation techniques.
You will discover how to engage with parents on equal footing without compromising your educational professionalism. You will learn how to address critical topics without causing hurt – and without bending yourself. You will focus on solutions – for the child, for the parents, and for yourself. You will learn how to remain confident and centered, even when emotions run high. You will also explore how to effectively use nonverbal communication (body language, tone, etc.).
The goal: Less stress, more clarity – and a trusting collaboration in the interest of the children.
Suitable for: Educators, teachers, school social workers, and educational staff.
Workshop content at a glance: Basic knowledge of communication in the educational context, practical communication training with direct feedback and reflection, body language, listening, empathy, rhetoric, and conversation management, and the joint development of a communication guide for effective planning and preparation of your parent-teacher conversations.
You will receive extensive materials summarizing the theoretical inputs and practical exercise instructions for training at home or in the workplace. This course can also be booked by kindergartens or schools for their staff – as a half-day or full-day event. We would be happy to provide you with a customized offer.
