Music and Instruments of the Iberians - Workshop for Children
The Iberians made music together over 2000 years ago. Their instruments were as diverse as they were fascinating. Flutes made from bone or clay were particularly popular. They sounded bright and cheerful. Small drums and rattles were also included, made from wood, animal skin, or dried seeds. Music accompanied festivals, dances, and important ceremonies. Iberian music reminds us of how wonderful it is to discover shared sounds and make music together. After a guided tour of the exhibition "The Mysterious World of the IBERIANS," we will create our own flute in the subsequent workshop.
