A movie night that moves, motivates, and inspires: On March 14, 2026, two months before the 8th edition of the Race Around Lower Austria (May 15/16), the Waldviertler cinema in Gmünd will become a stage for two extraordinary cycling stories and two individuals who have shown what is possible with passion, discipline, and courage. The film "The Path to Myself" will be screened, telling the impressive transformation of Philipp Kaider. From chain smoker to winner of the legendary Race Across America – one of the toughest ultracycling races in the world. The film provides honest insights into doubts, setbacks, and the journey to mental and physical strength. The second film is dedicated to Daniel Kapeller, who, alongside his job, family with four children, and running waffle stands at various events, pursues his athletic goals – achieving great things in the process. As the winner of the Race Around Lower Austria 2025, his story represents organizational talent, perseverance, and the power to live dreams despite a busy everyday life.
