House Music Roas of the Children

The "musical images" of children are not only sounds but also visual, emotional, and intellectual impressions that arise from music. Children are particularly receptive to the power of music. Hausmusik Roas aims to promote this and therefore focuses on the musical talent of our region. For one morning, our stage, our attention, and our applause belong to young musicians! Who doesn't know the well-known folk songs like "All the Little Birds Are Already Here" or "The Cuckoo and the Donkey"?

In the song, the call of the cuckoo rings out in the lovely month of May, accompanied by the loud cries of the donkey, who joyfully interjects. This motif is reminiscent of the famous folk song from "Des Knaben Wunderhorn," in which the cuckoo competes with the nightingale.

Hausmusik and folk music offer wonderful opportunities to develop musical skills, preserve cultural heritage, and instill a love of music in children. Whether sung, played, or danced – there is traditional folk music for every formation, which will be presented by the students of the Landesmusikschule Gmunden at this concert.
