High up in the silence – Special tours of the carillon during Holy Week

Neue Residenz, 5020 Salzburg
Under the helmet of the tower on the west side of the New Residence is the Salzburg carillon. Since 1704, the carillon has been playing in Salzburg. Currently, it features about 40 musical pieces, of which 16 are attributed to Johann Michael Haydn. The pieces by father and son Mozart are arrangements from the 19th century.
