Embark on a special journey through the Thayatal National Park: Conductor and composer Daniel Muck invites you to rediscover the magic of music amidst unspoiled nature. Starting from the parking lot of the Kaja Ruins, the path leads to the new lookout point "Umlaufblick." There, an impressive panorama opens up over the deeply carved valley. While the Thayatal lies at your feet, folk music and traditional tunes resonate. These accompany you on your further hike and carry you down into the valley. The journey continues over Umlaufberg to the confluence of the Kajabach, where an ensemble awaits you, enchanting the river landscape with sounds of the Romantic era.

In the courtyard of the old walls of the Kaja Ruins, the salon orchestra provides a lively conclusion with music from the 1920s, accompanied by a small culinary offering. National Park employee Claudia Waitzbauer will guide you throughout the hike. Along the way, she enriches the experience with selected literary texts that unite nature, music, and poetry into a harmonious whole.

Meeting point: Parking lot Ruine Kaja, Merkersdorf
Duration: approx. 3 hours, concluding concert at around 6:00 PM at the Kaja Ruins
No participation fee. Registration for the hike is required by 3:00 PM the day before.
